NB's is a lovely warm and friendly guest house in the merchiston area of edinburgh. It is about 1 mile south of Princes Street and takes just 15-20 minutes to walk to the centre or catch a bus right outside and be there in 5 minutes. Buses run every 5 minutes most days and night buses run too so saving a fortune on expensive taxi's. We can offer lots of sight seeing advice and organise sight seeing tours all over scotland. The tour company we recommend are not only one of the cheapest in town, but they also come and collect you in the morning and bring you home again! At Nb's we aim to ensure you have the most relaxing and pleasurable break possible. You will find your room immaculately clean, always warm and lovely gold and red furnishings and decor. Plus black out roman blinds and very good quality beds ensure a most deep and relaxing sleep. There is wifi available in most rooms. All the team who work at Nbs try really hard to make your stay as stress free and happy as possible. Parking must be pre booked and is £7 or £10.00 a day, season dependant. Sadly we can't guarentee spaces but usually it is fine. Breakfast is available and must be booked upon arrival. We are totally non smoking. We accept most card types and there is no charge for debit cards but is a 2.5% charge on credit cards. Minto House opened in the summer of 2004 and we are proud to have built up a reputation for providing a comfortable, informal environment which offers an affordable and homely base for a trip to Edinburgh whatever your reasons for visiting the city. We are a family run guest house situated in Edinburgh’s beautiful Southside. The area is well known for its beautiful architecture and rich history, as well as for its close proximity to the city centre, universities and tourist attractions. We are located on a main bus route, allowing convenient travel to all parts of the city. We have a variety of rooms and can accommodate anything from single travellers to groups of up to twenty people. Our selection of large family rooms makes us the ideal choice for a family group. All our rooms are on the ground or first floor allowing easy access. All our rooms are en-suite, with the exception of one double room which has external private facilities – all these facilities were refurbished in 2009. Each room includes tea/coffee facilities, television and towels. There is free wifi access available in the communal part of the building and in most of the bedrooms. In addition to facilities inside the rooms we have secure private parking to the rear of the property available on a first come first served basis. We offer an extensive continental breakfast each morning. It is completely suitable for vegetarians and provides a refreshing and healthy start to your day. Most of our rooms face the back of the property, from some of which the peak of Edinburgh’s extinct volcano can be seen- in addition to quiet views of the prestigious Blacket Conservation area and our own private garden.
